IED (Istituto Europeo di Design) Turin presents from 7th to 17th May at Cluster at 28, via Sant’Agostino.
An itinerant exhibition keyed to making public opinion more sensitive towards protecting the environment and towards reducing waste, through a collection of clothes, jewellery and accessories, realised through the combination of recycled materials such as used films, plastic bottles, paper, old curtains, electrical wires, glass, car wheels, school bags, metal and many others.
The exposition will include over 60 pieces of woman’s clothing and accessories collection created by the students of the three-years course in Fashion and Textile Design and 50 photographs taken by the third year students of Photography through their personal researches, study and detecting on the theme of recycle of materials.
Recycling, re-inventing, re-thinking of an idea ; by exploring these different possibilities the students have reached two aims : working in team and developing their own creativity, providing each project with innovative and different meanings.
An itinerant tour that wishes to irradiate the synergy of interest shared by the IED Moda Lab Schools of Milan, Rome and Turin in new contexts like Bologna and Padua : five steps for the environment, five urban realities, five interpretations to speak about the issue of recycling materials : clothes, accessories, jewellery, photographs and videos. A transversal interpretation, through different cultures and eras. A project that re-traces and re-discovers the life of alternative and apparently unusable materials.

Bien vu ! Même le genre féminin est respecté.
Rien à dire, donc.
